Survivor takes a walk on the communist side as it heads to China for Season 15.
Survivor has returned for its 15th season, and this time Jeff Probst and the castaways are crossing into communist territory as they attempt to survive for 39 days in China. For the past three seasons, Survivor has been trying to keep things fresh by adding twists like Exile Island, Hidden Immunity Idols, 20 member casts, racial segregation, wealthy and poor teams, and three-way final tribal councils. While a couple of these added some nice wrinkles to the game’s already-complex strategy, others came off as cheap ploys to create buzz. With that in mind, I’m pleased to say that it appears Survivor: China is returning to the show’s roots. It’s a 16 person cast with two teams, no hidden idols, no Exile Island, no psychotic cheerleader named Dreamz, and hopefully no three-way final. The game is back to being purely about outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting the competition. Needless to say, I’m very excited about what this season has in store for us! Now onto the blog…
