After the Minnesota Timberwolves awe-inspiring run to the Western Conference Finals in 2004, the expectations of the Timberwolves nation had never been higher. Unfortunately, those high expectations only meant that it would be a longer and much more painful fall when Kevin Garnett and his crew missed the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Now a new season is upon us, and the Minnesota Timberwolves will finally get their shot at redemption. Alongside sharpshooter Wally Szczerbiak, playmaker Marko Jaric, fearless rookie Rashad McCants, and new head coach, Dwane Casey, Kevin Garnett will lead this retooled and revitalized team as they aim to bring this franchise to new heights. In doing so, this team will get back to the basics that made this team so successful in the past. A blue-collar work ethic based on defense, hustle, and playing as a team will be the foundation the Kevin Garnett and the Timberwolves. And it will be backed by a vow to be true to their fans, true to their team, and true to themselves. That’s why we’re proud to say that the 2005-2006 Timberwolves are without a doubt, “True Blue”.
