Survivor: Cook Islands Blog
Episode 4 Elimination: JP

Finally after all my talk of making shorter blog entries, you’re finally going to get one… Maybe.

But seriously, this episode was fairly dull in comparison to the back-to-back blockbusters in episodes two and three.  Here are my few short observations:

1. Ozzy is a whiny girl. Perhaps even more of a girl than Aras was.  The way he pouted when

Cecilia got voted off was awful.  Were it not for his freakish animal-like abilities, he would be the single worst pick to win I’ve ever made.  I’m still not completely sold on him making it to the merge, but his team would be really stupid to vote him out.

2. This is probably the most intelligent cast ever. Last week, when Team CaucAsian almost got overthrown, it was a huge surprise.  Sure, they ended up turning a few of the weaker tribe members towards their side, but in past years, an alliance like that would never have been sniffed out in Episode 3.  You usually don’t see potential game-changing upheavals like that until you’re down to seven or eight people.

Same thing goes for the ousting of JP.  The men of Raro were acting like complete imbeciles, lording over the women when they were outnumbered four to five.  Yeah, it’s true that in most other seasons the women wouldn’t have caught on and would have foolishly taken away their numbers advantage by picking each other off in order to keep the strongest players.  Not so with Cook Islands.  These people know how to play the game!

Looks like those twelve seasons of film are finally starting to pay off.  And that’s a really good thing. Because as entertaining as the Axis of Idiots were, I’m really pumped up for the Battle of the Brains.

3. There’s only two Latinos left. Viva la raza!

Now that’s what I call short!
