Exile Island and a hidden immunity idol are two new twists.
Although it’s now Survivor’s twelfth version, Exile Island will mark my first foray into creating a season review for the CBS hit. The way I plan on working this page is a blog format, where each week I’ll update with a report on who got kicked off Survivor, as well as some insight on the show’s more memorable moments. I’m hoping that this turns out pretty good as I usually recap a show’s season after it’s wrapped. But with the nature of Survivor being what it is, I figure a week by week update will probably turn out best.
So Survivor Panama: Exile Island on CBS looks to be a promising version of the show. In order to keep things fresh, they’ve started with four teams instead of two and they’ve kept the number of Survivors down to 16. I think it’s a good call since they tried the 18-20 Survivor gimmicks before, which only ended up causing double tribal council episodes or people getting the boot before the game even started. (Sorry, but I wanted to see that wacko, Wanda drive everyone mad back in Palau.) Of course, as the name suggests, they’ve added Exile Island to the game, where a few Survivors will get stranded alone each week. That should definitely add some new strategy. Plus there’s an immunity idol hidden on the island, and unlike the one in Guatamala, this immunity idol can be used after the votes are read. I think that’s a good move, because having to use the idol before the vote, like in Guatamala, could completely defeat the purpose if it’s owner wasn’t getting voted out that night.
So anyway, I’ll move on to the week by week recaps now. I hope this turns out ok! But either way, I’m sure Survivor Panama: Exile Island won’t disappoint.
